Bil Jac voluntary dog food recall

Bil Jac Dog Food Recall

August 24, 2012 – Bil Jac Foods of Medina, Ohio has announced a voluntary dog food recall of a limited number of one of its dry products due to possible contamination with mold.

According to a company spokesperson, the recall includes only the 6 pound package of its Bil Jac Adult Select Formula dry dog food with a lot code of 1792-02 and a Best By date of 27 December 2012.

The products in question are currently being tested for the presence of mold toxins and the company has assured us they will share more information as it becomes available.

Feel free to bring your own greyhounds out to the OSU-OKC Farmers' Market located at the Horticulture Pavilion at 400 N. Portland in OKC. We will be meeting and greeting the public and showing off what greyt pets greyhounds make.

Volunteers & Fosters needed! If you are able to volunteer to pick up one or two foster greyhounds to increase their adoption exposure, please contact our volunteer coordinator at JanePace@GreyhoundPetsOK.org so that we may make arrangements for you. Thank you in advance!

LIVE on the Plaza Show & Tell

Friday, August 10th
7-10pm
NW 16th & Blackwelder | OKC

We will once again have a gathering of greyhounds on the corner of 16th & Blackwelder in OKC during Plaza District's LIVE on the Plaza! Join us from 7-10pm as we show off our hounds and answer questions about adoption!

Bring a chair, dog bed, cold drink, and whatever else it takes to get you and your hound out on the town! The Plaza District is extremely pet friendly and most non-food establishments will allow your 4 legged friend inside with you to shop. See you there!

Picnic in the Plaza Friday August 10th! Bring your own blanket (B.Y.O.B) and celebrate everything summer in the Plaza District! Come prepared to join in a water balloon toss or enjoy local food trucks and hot dogs. Pull your blanket over and play checkers or listen to local musician. Urban Agrarian will be out selling watermelons, so get your sweet tooth ready! It’s all about enjoying summer during LIVE on the Plaza August 10th!
