Our friends at Halfway Home Greyhound Adoption are holding an online auction to help raise funds to cover expenses associated with their upcoming Greyhound Haul in May.
Halfway Home Greyhound Adoption is a group based in Tulsa, OK that coordinates the placement of retired racing greyhounds among 10 adoption groups {just like us!} across the Unites States and Canada.
Founded by Teddy Palmer and run by she and her dedicated volunteers, Halfway Home Greyhound Adoption spends over $35,000 each year hauling dogs to adoption groups across the country. Additionally, they spend anywhere from $1,500-$2,000 each month maintaining a kennel full of greyhounds on Teddy's own property and boarding greyhounds at a West kennel and various farms throughout Oklahoma.
Not only does HHGA care for these dogs and coordinate placement, they also build and foster relationships with farm & greyhound owners across the country to ensure their dogs are placed in loving foster homes until their perfect family comes along.
Not only does HHGA care for these dogs and coordinate placement, they also build and foster relationships with farm & greyhound owners across the country to ensure their dogs are placed in loving foster homes until their perfect family comes along.
As a foster-only organization {having no kennel to house dogs}, we rely on Teddy and her group to help us fill foster homes as we continue to grow and adopt more greyhounds into loving homes each year. By helping HHGA maintain their outstanding operation you are also helping Hounds of the Heartland by ensuring our demands for foster greyhounds can continue to be met.
What are you waiting for? Take a peek at all the unique items they have up for grabs!
